SYRACUSE, N.Y.

A teenage boy who suffered only minor injuries when he fell through a church ceiling 40 feet to the floor had a ''guardian angel'' looking out for him, said the church's pastor.

Robert Bild, 16, suffered a slight concussion and fractured his left wrist in the accident, said the Rev. J. Timothy Pfeiffer of Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church. A cat scan revealed six broken bones and Bild had to have surgery on his wrist Thursday, Pfeiffer said.

Bild and another teenager had finished a six-week summer school program and were sent off to pack their belongings, Pfeiffer said.
