And this is why he is voting for Donald Trump because Jesus was a sissy, or so it appears.

I have said all along that there is no such thing as a "Conservative" Christian.
Since Jesus Christ was/is a liberal, a person is either a conservative or he/she is a Christian. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be both.

He never said Jesus was "weak". Please read his comments and form your own opinion, rather than take the leftist blog's response as fact.

He said that the Sermon on the Mount was not intended to be a governmental philosophy. There is a difference. God gave the government to serve the people. One of the responsibilities of government is to keep its subjects safe.

We are not the subjects of the Government. Get out your handy-dandy pocket Skousen Constitution. It is right there on your desk.

Maybe not, but the Sermon on the Mount encapsulated everything He lived and died for.

Depends on which verses of the Bible you read. Some of the stuff attributed to Jesus sounds like far-right religious nuttery: you're either for him or against him, he will judge everyone at the end of time, he will burn up his enemies with fire, etc.

So exercising MERCY and JUSTICE are not for the government? The government gets a free pass to NUKE the world?

We are NOT subjects of the government--the government is SUBJECT to the people..

Sure a vote for the third party means is a vote for the democrats , as the republican party is never the Christian party and never has been , still Jesus would have people turn to the Republican party as some of the attributes of this party like prosperity will be a bonus ..........So you can vote to bomb the party you do not like

Thank you. The fact that Americans are citizens, not subjects, is important.

(I'm convinced one qualification for being an American fundamentalist is flunking junior high school civics.)
