You know I heard something on the radio today, the churches in my area are going to defy a gov't older and I imagine that its not just in my area that this is being done, they're going to defy this order that the government says that their Health Insurance plans has to provide women with the information and the services for birth control, will personally I don't see anything wrong with that, I've always felt that a woman should have the right to choose if she wants to have a child or not, but what I wanna know is when are these women going to start standing up for their rights, I mean the Christian church, whichever one it may be, doesn't want them to have abortions but at the same time it doesn't want them to have any birth control. Back in the 1920s when women marched to get their rights to vote and succeeded in getting that freedom to do so,it was a big step forward for women's rights and now it seems that a lot of women wanna give up their right to have the church's of the Christian religion tell them what they can and can't do with their bodies, now this makes no sense, why should women let some unknown entity, like the Christian church that is primarily controlled by men, tell them what to do or what their rights are. When are the women going to stand up for their rights to be equals and not be treated as second class citizens by the Christian church? Well those are my thoughts and as an American Indian, I feel this way about any religion that tries to belittle and degrade women.osay

I believe it's the Catholic Church (at least from what I've heard) and they've always been against abortion and birth control no news there. I'm sure if a woman wants it that bad, they can get it, and have the info. This isn't the stone age. Info about such things is on every street corner (or so it seems)

How do you feel about being wrong about your statement? You're going by the typical Hollywood interpretation of the American Indian. My suggestion would be that you educate yourself first before making such statements....

Figured "your people" (most white guys say they're part indian) would have a great appreciation of the sanctity of life.

You must be a racist using the term "your people" just what is it that you have against Native Americans since you seem to be so ignorant about them and our customs, but then again you seem to be a racist against all different races that aren't white. If you're looking to stir something up "racially" go back to your politics and immigration forum where you seem to be underappreciated. And by the way you're getting off topic and I shouldn't be responding to your off topic posts so I will not be responding to you unless you have something of intelligence to say that is on topic.
