I can not speak for my friend MysticPhD but have found that he is not a stranger to Physics and other physical sciences..
However, I do agree that we know so little about the concepts of 'Dark Energy" we have yet to even devise a means to measure it, if it even is measurable. The label is not very accurate either as it is attaching a name to something we have not really identified. We are only on the edge of doing imaginary possible experiments. Not much different than the ideas of folding the space time continuum and enabling instant travel between any 2 points.
Feel free to speak on my behalf, Wood . . . you know me pretty well, my brother. Besides . . . I am not remotely shy and will correct any errors ~Mystic
OK, so prayers are transmitted via 'dark energy'.
Are they transmitted at the speed of light?
I would say at the speed of thought . . . . but "transmitted" does not really apply in the sense we mean in the measurable aspects of our reality, hiker. Dark energy is what is "stretching" (expanding/"growing??) the balloon or the rubber band or the flat piece of rubber (since our universe seems to be flat for all intents and purposes) in which our reality resides. The field that encompasses our reality is expanding (God's consciousness is being added to??) at an accelerating rate. Kind of the way life expands (a living God???) Fred Hoyle created the term "continuous creation" and he also coined the term Big Bang. It is true we do not know what is doing the "stretching" in all directions at the same time . . . but I like my hypotheses since they agree with my personal experiences.

My dear Brother, you are much too shy to publicly correct my errors.
However, I have noticed that in the concepts of physics and metaphysics we have often shared similar views. I will therefore (In this thread) proceed to add in my 2 cents worth and assume you will point out whatever you differ with.

And with the expansion of the universe God was able to travel at a speed greater than the speed of light!
Thank you very much for answering, Mystic. I think I understand your response.
I was asking of you thought prayer could have any effect on the actions your god would take.
Very clear answer. If prayer can help to draw God's focus to a particular problem, then the prayer has had an effect. I think I understand exactly what you are saying.
How is a prayer transmitted to God?
You have said you do not believe in supernatural events. A prayer, which is a thought in a person's brain, must get transmitted to a God somehow. Do you think this method of transmission is electromagnetic radiation, or do you have something else in mind?
Just answering the question:
"How is a prayer transmitted to God?"
In my opinion the transmission is instantaneous. There is no time lag between the thought of the prayer and God(swt) knowing of it.
To try to explain this in terms of the material world is an impossibility. We resort to using concepts of Omnipresent and all-knowing. While being true they only explain the what, not the how.
Both Hoyle and Einstein with the ideas of a "Space/time Fabric" seem to give a workable concept, but they are more like analogies than fact. For us poor humans the analogies may be the closest we will come to understanding.
