If God didn't exist, you wouldn't because "He gives to all, life and breath and all." You should be thankful. But, not to worry, you will be. He loves you.

That's it?
Because the Bodmer Papyri dated not written during Jesus' lifetime but rather by a contemporary of Paul of Tarsus between 175 to 225 C.E. says so.
Well there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, undeniable and unassailable proof. As undeniable and unassailable as Greek mythology, the Rigveda of Hinduism, the Pyramid Texts or any of the other myriad contemporary claimants to godly knowlege.
None of those things on that list are convincing to me. To me, those reasons sound kind of childish with no real thought behind them at all.
If a god/creator exists as a discrete entity, it exists beyond what we are capable of perceiving in our limited human bodies and all of these made up rules and rituals serve those that make them rather than any gods.
I have spent the last four years trying to take a neutral position, an objective scientific point of view, and I did come to understand a lot of things on a mundane level but I also learned how to find the specks of gold in the dirt. There is a real need for spirituality in this world, and we should care because it is an integral part of how we evolve as a species. We need to continually reach beyond ourselves toward the infinite or we will just die. The human race is starting to stagnate and regress and I believe a large part of it is that spirituality has been hijacked by man-made religions and turned into something manipulative that holds us back and keeps us from realising our true selves. Religion separates us from nature when we should be seeking to be more connected to it and to each other. We would have less need for all of the trappings of modern life and we would not sit idly by while wars are being waged in our name and the Earth was being raped and destroyed if we could only feel that connection.
A flower may very well be proof of a god, not because it is beautiful or well designed but because it is a manifestation of life. It has an energy that permeates and flows through all life and if a god can be found anywhere it is in that energy.

Those are all dumb! There are many much better reasons to believe in God.
I agree. Those were a rather poor collection of reasons. Why not, jimmie, take the opportunity to put together7 good reasons to believe in God? (Make it Biblegod, please rather than a first cause that might as well be Shiva or Zeus?). Then we'd have something worthy of discussion.
Atheists will do ANYTHING to "prove" God is "not real"
