What you fail to note is that the laws are NOT based on sexual preference, but on a HISTORY of unjustified discrimination because of that sexual preference. If that prejudice did not exist there would be no need for the law.

Maybe because we haven't heard a reason based on anything but "the Bible tells me so".
List some....or one.

For thousands of years marriage has existed as a male/female thing. The very definition of marriage includes a bride and a groom. There is no discrimination. That's what it is.

As for other "unjustified" discrimination...what are we talking about?

I've posted a lot on this very thread, and I'm not sure I've used anything remotely resembling that phrase. Can you back that claim up, or would you care to recant that lie?

The ancient Greeks and Romans had same-sex marriages. It also was a fact of life in ancient Mesopotamia and in some parts of China. Native, non-Judeo-Christian cultures have accepted same-sex unions. Pstum has explained that to you in several posts.

Any particular reason you keep ignoring those facts?

Can you document that it was a normal, accepted practice as widespread as male/female marriage?

Because they show his "facts" to be nothing more than repeated prejudice?

Exactly. Ugly bigotry wrapped in pseudo-religious trappings.

You're moving the goal posts. Nowhere in this entire thread has anybody suggested that same sex relationships (of any kind) were as widespread as hetero ones.
