Guess that means their love wasn't strong enough, spiritual enough......or......it means Nancy's health wasn't so fragile that she couldn't survive the stress of his death.
My money's on the latter.
As King Solomon (known for his God-given wisdom) said at Ecclesiastes 9:11 that time and unforeseen events befall all of us.
If Carrie had Not died then Debbie would Not have had the stress of her death to deal with.

Debbie already had one stroke and would have had another whether Carrie died or not. Maybe in a few weeks, maybe in a few months, maybe sitting peacefully watching TV with her dog in her lap, her body was failing. If Debbie was healthy, the stress of Carrie's death would not have brought on a stroke out of nowhere.

Using your logic, any parent of Debbie's age that doesn't stroke out and die in the event of a child's death, must not love that child very much, since the stress of the death didn't kill them.....and that just isn't true.

Nothing mystical or biblical about it. It's all about science.
