Well then bash the foolish evangelicals instead of ridiculing the entire system of scriptures and teachings. Those folks bother me too, but I aim the blame where it belongs (on them). It's like with politics; even though some act with no resemblance to ethics and historical tradition, we don't shame the entire political institution. People/individuals can and do get it wrong.

Can you elaborate? Such as what? Both parts of the Bible portray God as being holy, righteous, just, and loving.

I amnot sure why they do "he can change the rules when he wants"? The universe can do what it does as much, or as little, as we can do what we want. Like a protien in you is defined by you. it does what it wants, so it thinks.
