When ever we read through the posts here..

We notice.. the word "God" gets used quiet often..

yet.. it seems to mean different things.. to different people.

Which always leaves me wondering…

When you use a word like.. God.

What do you mean by it.. precisely..?

How would each of you define it.. ?

Is "God'.. a noun.. if so.. what is it naming..?

Or is it a symbol.. representing an idea.. ?

Just like E=mc2 represents an idea.

Is God to be found within us.. ?

Or out in deep space somewhere..?

Can God be proved to exist..?

Or is it somehing we can only believe in.. ?

and all Goddesess are One Goddess,
there is only One Initiator.
To each his own God,
and the God Within...”

Typically the word is used as a proper noun for the Christian deity. Other religions usually go by a specific name.

When it is not capitalized, it is just interchangeable with the word deity.

Sometimes pantheists use it as a sort of term for various things like nature or reality when they want to be somewhat poetic at the expense of clarity.

God is Sat-Chit-Ananda

Sat being existence
Chit consciousness
Ananda Bliss

that's the triple nature of God

He told Moses "I am that I am" He has always been and will always be. He is all I will ever need. The creator of everything. He is Holy and loved the world enough to send Jesus to die for us on the cross. "My God" is tossed around in our society and used flippantly and casually. Sometimes people saying this don't even believe in God. God's name is Holy and should be used boldly and reverently.

i use the term "God" interchangably with Creator, and the All That Is, and the I AM.
It is the divine force from which all of creation springs, and that breathes all of us.

When I use the word "god", it means any imaginary supernatural being that someone else considers to be a deity.
