Spot on. It’s funny, because Lori’s old blog was a lot tamer; still preachy, but not as dark and mean spirited as it is now. It’s one thing to start a blog to build-up and encourage women who do want to live that lifestyle... but she presents it as being the only acceptable choice. And post after post is dedicated to disparaging women who work outside the home, whether by choice or by necessity.

I'll grant you that Dr. Laura was irritating.

But to be fair, yes, she was in fact a stay at home mom and was there for her son although she had a huge career in radio. She worked around her son's school schedule and eventually he was in high school and graduated and she was (is) freer to pursue her own career.

She was judged harshly for her premarital sex - but the main tenet of her lectures wasn't about premarital sex.

It was about taking care of your children, and putting them first. And leaving the child care to mom, or dad, or able and loving grandparents.

I really think she made some profound changes in a lot of people's thinking.

I've been hate-reading her blog for my own personal amusement for years. Lori is the epitome of "Do as I say, not as I do." College and family planning are unbiblical... except for when she utilized them. She preaches against public school... yet, her children attended it for most of their schooling. She decries using childcare... and yet she employed nannies. She actively encourages women to live in abject poverty and rely on the church for support, if that is what it takes to be a "keeper of the home"... and yet she lives is a million-dollar home in SoCal. She lectures on frugality and budgeting... while humble-bragging about the imperativeness of consuming all organic, grass-fed, etc.
Wow, I did not know any of that. I only recently becane aware of her, and i did try to skim some of her various blog posts to learn more about her. But frankly I just couldn't even stomach it.

There aren't many of them left. Grab them while you can. Their value is rising sharply.

I don’t think anyone overlooked that. The fact that she is some pious, self-proclaimed Christian grandmother makes it ironic that she talks like she’s waist-deep in the manosphere.
