For some reason I couldn't stop watching this.

Thoughts?

YouTube - ‪Miss USA 2011 - 51 Delegates Interview (Q2 - Evolution taught in school)‬‏

It seems that the women from the northeast have the brains portion of the contest won. Props to CA & WY also.

honestly, isn't saying: "I think evolution should be taught in schools" a bit like saying: "I think toddlers should be taught how to walk", or "I think 16 year olds should be taught how to drive"?

Then again, the Miss America club has never been known for it's overabundance of brains...

did the first twenty. no wonder Ms. California won.

.................................................. .................................................. .................................
1. Alabama: I don't believe in evolution and it shouldn't be taught
2. Alaska: I don't believe in evolution but it should be thought because it is part of our history
3. Arizona: Teach both (evolution and Christian creationism i suppose)
4. Arkansas: I was never taught evolution, to each his own, let the schools decide
5. California: I do believe evolution, I believe in science, and It's important to teach it
6. Colorado: Teach everything
7. Connecticut: Teach evolution
8. Deleware: teach it in highschool as an elective
9. District of Columbia: Teach evolution, its important to see different perspectives
10. Florida: Teach evolution because it exists (I suppose she means it's out there as an idea)
11. Georgia: Teach everything/ a wide variety of ideas
12. Hawaii: Teach evolution, the family should guide the children
13. Idaho: Mention evolution, the family should guide the children
14. Illinois: Teach evolution, people should know.
15. Indiana: I don't know; leave it up to government (won't answer, leave it to someone else. wow)
16. Iowa: Teach evolution as elective, I took it in college.
17. Kansas: Mention evolution/ teach it as an elective
18. Kentucky: Don't teach evolution, there are too many contradictions between evolutionists, be sensative to people's believes.
19. Louisiana: ummm... teach it. (very uncomfortably said.)
20. Maine: Teach evolution AND faith (whatever that means). I was taught evolution in elementary school, it didn't hurt my faith.

... o.k. I got tired, I suppose that's good enough, I am horrified.

but I learned something from Ms. Maine. atheists should say "please don't hurt my unbelief" lol.

You can see where this will spawn a movement: WWMAD (what would Miss America do?)

Probably the best these girls had education in is domestic science, aka home ekonomiks. Any girl parading in a pageant is obviously using her assets to land the richest hunkiest fella with the nicest 4x4 SUV.

Then they can run for VPOTUS in a few years and be amply qualified.

What was the question again? Oh Evilooshun and as they would say eeeew!

Want thoughtful answers from them, ask them something important to them, such as what is the best teeth whitener, or makeup, and how do they get their hair so shiny. Oh yea, and how to loose 10 lbs. quickly before a pageant.
