There is no concrete place in any holy book against homosexuality. Man's interpretation of the words of God/ Allah / Jehovah/ other names which I do not have the time to list; is what creates all the "fuse"

What do u think

FYI I'm heterosexual and just took courses in world religion.

homosexuality is expressly forbidden in several religions.

Do u mind quoting from their scripture(s)?

... then u would realize that the interpretation is vague.

Christains have a saying from J. Christ... " ....the words of God must not b interpreting using earthly ideologies...". /// stated off head but if u want the actual quotation I would gladly provide that to u. I don't have a bible handy presently///

In the old testament christains are told not to eat anything that craws on its belly but in the new testament god provides food ( which contains animals that craw on the belly) to one J Christ "follower" at detention. If u read God explicitly states why. This confirms J Christ words before his dead.

While I have used christainity to show the validity of my point. The same woould b said of most if not all religions. Interpretation of the "Sacred books", I don't care if these the vedas, koran, toran and others show similar trend.

Religion sects 2day are just unopposed popular philosophical interpretations of the supreme beings words. Verify with any non-bias theologian if u don't believe me?

Oh good! I was wondering when this forum would finally have a debate on homosexuality and religion. It's clearly long overdue.

That's kind of like saying left-handedness is expressly forbidden. Doesn't really make sense.

Well it used to be seen as a sign of the Devil. Which gave us the word sinister in fact.

I am obviously a child of the Evil one as I am left-handed....

You probably would have been burnt at the stake by relgious zealots for being left-handed if you'd lived centuries ago.

Just like religious zealots burned /hung /drowned thousands of girls and women because of the Biblical verse "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live". These women were murdered by Christians who believed they were doing God's will. And all because the girls/women probably showed too much intelligence or too much independence or were not meek and submissive enough or were healers and herbalists etc.

Then it was the Jews turn to be condemned. Then slavery was justified by using the Bible. Then it was the turn of the fornicators and masturbators to be condemned, then interracial marriages, then the Communists, then women's lib..... and now homosexuals.

I wonder what group will be next?

personally (this is just mho) if your gay and believe in God, I'd keep it to myself, and let God worry about what to do about it. It no one else's business and its between you and God.

So unless you WANT to hear judgement and BS from people, I'd just play it straight to keep the masses happy. Again thats my 2 cents on it.
