Exactly. This is the kind of gag that would have had Zeus and his posse in stitches, because they were deities with human faults. They were somewhat fair, though: "I have the power, I make the rules, and if I don't like your attitude, it's thunderbolt time, capisce?" - you knew where you stood.

None of this passive-aggressive "My love for all my creation knows no boundaries and your reward shall be limitless. Except if I need to win a bet. Or you make fun of a prophet for being bald."

in the interest of fairness and at least intellectual honesty, may i put a gentle question mark behind the passive-agressive attitude that has nothing to do with the words cited?
