Because if either Noah's ark or the ark of the covenant were ever found, they would prove that the bible cannot be taken literally. Not only would it be confirmed (as if that's necessary) that Noah's ark couldn't possibly have carried all the animals your holy book claims it did, but it would also be proven that the ark of the covenant was simply a large capacitor and didn't carry "god's holy wrath".
So you'd better hope neither of them is ever found, because it would be worse for you than never finding them at all. At least if they remain "lost" (or having never existed more likely) then you can stay all comfortable in your little world of denial about the literal truth of your bible.

need not worry, it only exist in fairy tail land now would be a good time for a noah!!! the six extinction is under way!!! anybody want to help me build an ark to save the animals from human greed and destruction.. i was thinking of converting an old oil tanker to be the carrier of the animals..
the noah's ark is important at the least to make the arrogant evolutionists hide their red faces. and it is enough for me.
Haha. Well I hate to break it to you, but if an ark is ever found it would not be Noah's but Utnapishtim's. The flood story from the Gilgamesh epic predates your Biblical fairytale by millenia.

The true Ark of the Everlasting Covenant which Moses only patterned/copied, as a type, is in heaven, in the temple of God [which temple, the Word of God states in more than one place, is "set in the sun"], and when the veil is opened during the tribulation, that true Ark of the Everlasting covenant will be seen by all.

Nope. the OP is about either the Ark of Noah or the [Ark of the [Everlasting] Covenant/Testament.
It might interest you to know that the True Ark in heaven which is seen when heaven is "opened" in the tribulation is itself a representation -itself an oracle- of the Redeemed saints [who are at that time already raptured to heaven], who are "covered" by the Mercy Seat, who is their "Head/Covering"; and that Covering is typed as solid gold in the Oracles and is the New Man creation body of flesh which Christ Jesus is come in, and which is typed in the Living Oracles as solid gold.
That Mercy Seat of the Law/the Oracles, received the rehearsal blood of bulls and goats, once, yearly, and the one in heaven was built by angels, there, when Noah built the Ark on earth [as pr 1 Enoch] to type/pattern the True New Man body of flesh in which Christ is come, and on which body of flesh, the blood [His own New Man blood] of the Everlasting Covenant [of His acceptable Peace], was shed, once, for all; and the Ark itself types those who are adopted and placed under the covering of the Head/Firstborn, who redeemed them.
Everything in the Law is given as oracles of the Person and work of the LORD Jesus Christ, for His namesake people of the New Man name [Israel] to rehearse until He came to fulfill them. He is come [present tense], and the Atonement is finished, and will never be done again, when Israel has their millennial temple.
Jer 3:16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit [it]; neither shall [that] be done any more.
