Wouldn't call them "miracles" if they were so weak that it took 114 of them.
Now that a woman's heart was restarted 114 times by a defibrillator, that's technology, and I'm sure a lot of drugs that were also given to her, well that is a bit more than normal, but fully explainable by the direct actions of medical personal.
Been there done that, but not 114 times...Just often enough to wake up with burns on my chest and side...I didn't ask the doc what the count was....No miracle, just a reboot to my heart. If I were dead I would have stayed that way....Death is a permanent fatal condition.
She was never dead. Probably wished she were a few times.
As you quite correctly point out, and which the media never seems to grasp, is that death is define as a cessation of major organ functions, specifically the brain. Now if this very lucky woman had flatlined on an ECG 114 times and was revived, now that would be one hell of a story, like this one:
