Well I am sure this is going to come as a shock to my noble and ignoble theist adversaries, but Christian morals are the fundamental building blocks for our Western conceptions of morality. That is simply undeniable.

Christian morals aren't beneficial to society. Morals like not murdering, not lying, not stealing, doing unto others you would do unto them etc. aren't exclusive to christianity and even predate christianity. Christianity also says slavery is moral. If christian 'morals' were beneficial to society, then we should legalize slavery.

I think the Golden Rule is christian?

People treating their neighbors like they would want their neighbors to treat them is beneficial to a society because it helps to cut down violence among christians toward their neighbors. I mean true christians who fear God.

That keeps me happy living in a house with just glass and wood separating me from savages who roam the streets at night.

Unfortunately, a brief and unbiased review of world history shows that this is simply not the case. Christians can be counted among the most violent people on earth.

On the contrary - that is most definitely deniable.

And quite laughable, considering that all societal progress and major victories for human/civil rights in western civilization have been in direct and constant conflict with Christian and Biblical "morals".

I can think of three words that I absolutely thank Christian morals for:

Catholic
Schoolgirl
Uniforms
