If money is no object what brand type and size of boat would be best for Lake Tahoe if you were going to transport it to the lake once and then keep it at a marina.

Depends on what your interest is, fishing? skiing? living aboard? entertaining?

Don't know if they're still there but I was always a big fan of the mahogany classics at Sierra Boat Works at the north end of the lake. Given my druthers I'd opt for a classic Hacker.

Thanks. I like the classics too. Mostly entertaining and some fishing.

If you're in the area look for Sierra Boat Co, they can dial you in on the classics.

If $$$ were truly not an object I would commission a classic looking design using modern materials (carbon fiber, kevlar, epoky, etc.) to make a light-weight cold molded mahogany hull powered by something exotic like a Ferrari V-12.

If I'm gonna dream I'm gonna dream big
