Default Heading to Lake Tahoe this weekend

Gonna head out to Lake Tahoe this weekend before the weather gets too cool. Looking for suggestions on things to see, places to go, and favorite places to eat. Very interested in hearing everyone's ideas.

I would say take a ride on the Gondola... have you done that? I personally haven't but the rest of my family said it was so awesome, you can see everything, the whole lake, etc.
Also depends on what kinds of food you like, but I happened to be meeting up with a friend and we were walking around Heavenly Village and chose Stateline Brewery (.com for the website).... they had the BEST fish and chips I've ever had. and that wasn't my meal. I think I had a steak quesadilla. YUM but the service was horrible, but I have to say it was a busy night...

If you want to see the lake, park near Zephyr Cove, they have some really gorgeous views if you find the right time and spot!

have fun

RARAM,

If you're looking for an informal, affordable place to eat (but good. Local's favorite) Go T's:
  • 901 Tahoe Blvd, Incline Village, NV 89451
  • (775) 831-2832

Well gang, I still haven't settled down, but i'm here in Reno for a 3rd assignment through Nov.18th. I really do love this town as my occasional return suggests. Hope all is going well with those i've spoken to on this site. Interested to know if anyone who was considering relocation actually took the plunge. My ultimate destination now seems to be Florida, not because of anything negative here in Reno, but because of recent family and friend health concerns, I need to be closer to my hometown of Chicago, while avoiding the brutal winters that occur there. Again, would love to hear an suggestions or advice regarding this latest trek into town.
