I have signed a lease for a privately owned townhouse that we found through a realtor. We never met the owners, did all the negotiating, and signed the lease through the Realtor. They told us that the property manager for the development would contact us with info on how to get our keys, do an inspection, etc...
We are moving on 3/1 but have not heard from anyone yet. At what point should I reach out to the realtors to say we haven't been contacted, or should I reach out to the property manager first? It seems to me that there isnt a need to contact me a few weeks out, but now that it is about a week away, I am starting to wonder...
Thoughts?
I hope that you didn't give any money to this realtor? I would go to the manager and introduce myself, and start the process. I certainly hope that you haven't been victim of a scam. Please let us know w/ updates.
The Realtor just hadn't sent the lease over to the property manager yet.
I emailed them and got the ball rolling. Perhaps i shouldn't have waited to do that!
