Hi! I'm moving from OH to PA, and I am wondering if there are any serious differences in the rental laws between these two states? I just want to make sure that I am aware of the laws and my rights ahead of time to prevent any issues from occurring. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!!!!

I did that already and didn't really get the answers I was looking for, which was why I came here to ask for help. Thanks though.

I want to know what kind of notice a landlord is required to give tenants before they come into an apartment. I've been doing some research on my future landlord and have heard that he has a habit of coming into your home without notice, and I am trying to educate myself as to what my rights are in the state of PA b/c I pay my rent on time every month and take great care of whatever property I am living in, and believe that I am entitled to a certain amount of privacy by being a good tenant (and law abiding citizen, etc.)

And I did google it (I have been looking into this all morning). I found that site you mentioned (virgode) but I thought the information was a bit vague.

You managed to find these forums but you couldn't Google "Pennsylvania tenant law"? Here, let me hold your hand and give you a direct link:

Sorry, but thats a red flag from the git go.
Generally 24 hours notice is what the law requires. Is the
LL living on the property?

Direct quote from the site I just gave you:

"Give tenant at least 24 hours notice before entering the apartment. A landlord cannot walk in for any reason, unless it is an emergency."

What do you find vague about that?

I know it is a red flag (luckily the lease is short-term so if it ends up being a disaster I won't be tormented for too long). And no the landlord is not living on the property.
