Really? In what alternate reality is that true?

The money you have paid your LL was applied to the outstanding balance for August, you still owe Sept rent. If it's not paid by the 5th you will indeed owe the late fee. Suggest you get caught up ASAP or you will be facing eviction for unpaid rent.

Thank you all for your help please continue with more information and opinions. On Monday I am going to the magistrate with my lease and get down to the bottom of this. I feel I owe 100 only not paying another late fee. 1779.50 is what I have given him and 100 more on Tuesday and if he goes to court then we just go to court.😊 but he is not just getting another 89.50 lol

Get down to the bottom of what? The fact you didn't pay rent on time in August OR September? I think your landlord is quite generous to accept your late payment and you shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Here's the thing...he'll issue a three notice to pay him in full. If you fail to do so, you'll be going to court for an eviction hearing. II don't know about GA, but here in Fl evictions are fast.....notices are on the door no later than the 10th of the month (with the last pay to rent without penalty being the 5th).

Today is the 8th....have you paid the landlord ALL of his money or are you still holding out?
