Op lives in Florida. Pet fees are legal.

You agreed to pay it and that's all that matters. Pay what you owe and be done with it.

I'm not saying I don't want to pay the pet fee, what I don't want to pay is 125 for a late fee on the pet fee...

Have you paid the pet fee? Is it late?

Then yes, you owe the late fee. It is WAY overdue. It was due in March; you knew it was due. It is now OVERdue.

I'm sure that in their records, it is "added to your rent."

It sounds like a verbal misunderstanding, but you still owe the fee. I would stop focusing on semantics and pay the fees.

I didn't pay it in march because they were supposed to add it to my rent, is what the woman who worked at the office told me.i don't think is my fault the woman was so incompetent and not tell me that from the beginning .

I will pay the pet fee I just don't agree on the late fee they want to charge me because if I still owed it it was because the people who work there didn't explain to me.

When I went to sign the lease the woman was in a hurry because she had to leave , so she said she would only read to us the partsame were we needed to sign. And I had to move in that date I couldn't wait til the next day

But you are late.

There really isn't any sort of justification as to how it can't be considered late if this is still going on from March. You knew it was owed and should be more proactive in seeing it was paid ASAP to avoid such late fees.
