Thank you in advance for your help.

I moved into a Harrisburg area row home. wasn't the greatest, I wasn't expecting the ritz.
A few days after moving in the strong smell of feces began coming hru the vents. the previous tenant clogged the pipe. the mainenance man cleared the pipe eventually. however there is a large hole in the sanitary pipe and the smell comes back here and there.

NOW theres mold growing in the hole he created. its been 2 months since the landlord said the pipe would have been fixed. frustrating to say the least.

Im wondering what codes would this violate so I can give them a list as to why I'm moving out.

You should not have let it go so long, you should have given him a week and then called town or city hall to get this fixed. I would ask him to let me out of my lease with no penalty and no 30 days notice, as soon as you find something else. and get his response in writing.

Are you actually notifying the landlord that it hasn't been fixed? You are sure that after he sent someone, he isn't thinking it was done?

Yes, this is a serious violation of health laws.

One of the big reasons that we're all so healthy in 21st Century America is that we have a clean water supply and efficient treatment of municipal waste.

Absent that, we'd still be dealing with typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and those are the ones that readily spring to mind.

The LL is going to be in a lot of trouble. Call the Heath department and other appropriate agencies
