Yeah actually my T type runs faster than 13 seconds...in the 1/4 mile. I don't know what it zero to sixties in...probably less than 5 seconds.

Stock? I recall they ran 13.80-13.90s stock or about what a Corvette would do.

At higher elevations. Most at sea level run very low 13's at 108mph. The 3200lb 400hp Corvette ran mid to high 12's.

I thought we were discussing the 1986-1987 era Turbo Intercooled Buicks. I was referring to the Corvette of those years as being comparable but do not recall their 1/4 mile times.
I do recall the Buicks were high 13s stock.

The thread is about the 2006 GTO. It was derailed by mention of the T-Type.

LOL, their drivetrains were GARBAGE!!!!!! I had one but sold it for a C6. Still loved the car but it was time to move up. The fastest I ran in my gto was a 11.4 @ 121

Garbage? An LS2 with a T56 is not garbage. Yours was obviously modified, and I'm guessing abused, so your opinion must be considered with that in mind.

Isn't that the same drivetrain in a C6?

Your not the guy in Texas who's turbo GTO went up in flames are you?

Looks like danielone spent a lot of $$ in mods on his GTO: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/archive.../t-410390.html

Changed out a M6 to a A4 for drag racing, sprayed it and all that fun stuff.

I will say the A4 sucked, since my 2006 had it. I had a new tranny replaced at 21k miles under warranty because after I lost 3rd and 4th. I only had a Superchips a tune and drag raced it about 20 times. Damn thing died on me while in San Diego on vacation. It was a fun trip back to Las Vegas with just 1st and 2nd!
