I am doing some work on my 84' Cutlass Ciera and was working on trying to change out the window regulator tape that's badly stripped in the middle, which is why the driver side window won't go all the way up. I have found where I can get a replacment tape, but now the problem is that the guide on the other end (the guide that holds the window) will not come off. I am sure it has to come off some way but it will not budge whatsoever. I can replace the tape once I get it off but so far I have had no success.
Does anyone that is familiar with this car have any ideas on how to remove the guide? If I can at least get that off and get the worn tape replaced with a new one my window will work good as new again as far as winding it up and down.
