Passion for something only lasts 3-4 years. Go hardcore for those years and then move onto your next passion.
This is a very interesting and different perspective to think about. Maybe you're right...rather than dabbling in something over decades, concentrate with all your passion on one thing until that passion subsides, and then move on. Maybe much more would be accomplished that way, if one does want to accomplish anything at this age. Really something to think about, at any age.
