Another place to look for frames/custom framing is Garden Ridge. I used to enjoy its wares - but its store here closed about 3-4 years ago. Robyn

^^ 2 hours away.

I tried search on Joanns and got a blank white page. Same when I clicked their link to frames.

Yes, I can get there, but if I click on Home Decor, then find Frames and click on that I get a page that starts to load then goes white.

Weird. We'll have to go to the local store for a look see.

Full staircase between first and second floor sanded, varnished and nailed in, just the lower walls need sanding and painting. What an improvement. What a humongous chore. Just watching the work get done got me tired.

Next is taking down one more wall upstairs and installing a bathroom. That should take all winter. In the spring the kitchen will be refined and then that's it, other than driveway and front porch.

Then we collapse and start looking for the final place. Or maybe this is the final place. We're getting less and less energy to even entertain the idea of another move. But we would be wise to consider it in three or four years. No fixers.

Be sure to check the sales flyer from the paper or near the front door when you enter the store. They usually have a coupon for XX off stuff.

Sounds nice - lots of work to accomplish that. Pictures?

Yes, before and after pictures, please! Very helpful to those of us who are working on projects of our own, and also fun to see what fellow posters have accomplished. And a project of that sort of scope really deserves pictures.

Before and after of all this remodeling, or before and after of us?

Hmmmm... why not both? But if I have to make a choice I really want to see the before and after photos of the stairs.
