Maybe it's just me but I haven't noticed any lately. Does anyone have any information as to his whereabouts and well-being? Is he just off having a good time or off CD for a while? Thanks.

Haven't heard any local gossip on Curmudgeon, hopfully they are traveling before cold weather. I haven't seen any posts of his for about a month now. I miss his humor.

He did say he hadn't been well but that was a while back. I miss him too and he's certainly not the worst "curmudgeon" on here. I even did a search on his name and he doesn't seem to have posted in quite a while. Hope someone will know and that he is all right.

I know of several old time posters that decided to start fresh with new names.

Join date Oct.....you speaking about yourself?
It wouldn't seem that you've been on here long enough to know what 'several old time posters' have done.

Agree with you-- Curmudgeon is one of my favorite commenters. Hopefully his health is getting better. Let's all send him our prayers, good vibes, and best wishes.

He's probably just gotten interested in some new activity. City-data is fun, but the world is full of plenty of other things to do; I think most of us reach points where we suddenly realize we've been spending too much time on the internet, and that it's time to take a nice long break. Most likely he'll be back when he has a little time to kill or when city-data seems like a fun thing to do again.

Maybe he decided to take a long vacation somewhere, or got involved with some project that has to be done before winter. Maybe he needs time to deal with family/medical/personal issues. Maybe he's helping someone move--that can take up a lot of your time. Maybe he read a really good book and decided to read the whole series. Maybe he found a new group of friends and is out doing things with them.

Whatever he's doing, I hope he's having fun. If he decides to start posting here again, I'll be glad to see him. One thing I'm not going to do is assume that something must be wrong just because someone is doing something else besides hanging out with us. My world does not revolve around city-data, so why should I think someone else's does?

Default I have a partial answer.

I am in touch with Curmudgeon and I am authorized to say that he is O.K. and that he appreciates your concern. I believe we will again have the pleasure of his company in the not-too-distant future.

Thanks, Escort. I also noticed a few days back that he had not posted since the end of September. It's difficult for some of the long time posters NOT to be concerned when another one of us suddenly stops posting.
