Yes! I spent too many years living at a higher elevation in Northern California where temps at my house would be in the low teens (and sometimes lower) and where a daytime high in the thirties was common. I know . . . nothing like parts of the East! But - for me - it was terrible as I have multiple autoimmune issues which are reactive to the cold and to barometric pressure changes. I had flare after flare after flare. Since I was living there caring for my elderly parents, I just made the best of it. I fled as soon as possible to a more moderate part of Northern California. The winters here are considerably milder (although we did have a frigid spell in December) and even though the summers are hot, that's what air conditioning is for. Since I moved here, I've had minimal health issues related to temperatures.

There should be a none of the above for those of us who live in "eternal spring" climes.

Not an poll option for us 2 houses gang: the mtns of far western NC for ~7 months, and SW FL for mid Nov to mid April.

Never say never, but if one made me choose I would go back to our Mtn house full time, and suck it up...

But, SW FL is nearly the best 'winter weather' in the US, and it's a nice change of living for us.

Moved from wintery Chicago area the year it snowed in April.
Now its delightful here in winter but am sick of the summer heat and the desert landscape. So I voted for the last answer, cause I truly hate cactus.

Moved from Ohio to California when I retired, and I'd have to say that retirement has improved my health due to lower stress and more time for myself.

As far as the climate goes, no, it hasn't improved my health or life at all. I had no problems with winter weather, nor the atmosphere of colder weather climates. I generally liked living in the East and Midwest, no objections to the lifestyle or weather at all.

Moved to Florida, stayed for 6 years, the horrendous summers weren't worth the mild winters. Besides Christmas was creepy down there. Moved back, love being in New England, but we get away for 6 to 8 weeks every winter. It works!

Moved from Wisconsin to Nevada. While I still have a condo in WI and thought I'd be a snowbird, my new life and community keep me anchored here -- it is home. I head back to WI for a couple of weeks each summer and find the hot, humid weather is energy-sapping. I'll probably sell my WI condo next year and stay happily planted here in NV.
