This is along the lines of what I'd like in a few years, but somewhat larger (700–800 sf) or a small "his" and "hers" next to each other. One of our kids has land and is a builder; maybe we could do something like this. I have no problem with small efficient spaces. In the good weather I want to be gone from home, and in New England winters cozied up to a fire with a book. No need for so much unused space to take care of and pay taxes on. Thanks for posting, OP. It's rekindled my interest.
Everytime I see an article about a Tiny house I have the same thought...what about the septic? what about getting water? Where I live it is a big deal getting a septic permit and engineering a proper system.
Nonetheless, the woman has done an efficient job with design of her home.
One of my kids attends SCAD. They had a team of faculty, students and alumni build 3 "SCAD-pads" in a parking garage. 3 tiny houses with a common area. My son didn't work on it; they did it in Atlanta and he attends at the Savannah campus. But some really neat ideas. SCADpad | Tour The Pads

I assume it's the same as for a larger house, assuming the small house is stationary. If not, the the same as for an RV.
I like it well enough to say "hmm, maybe it could work" but there is too much stuff in this house for my minimalist tastes. but maybe more comfy looks better.
