This video is 30 years old, but is every bit as funny today as it was when it was recorded in 1987. (And the routine was 15 years old then!) I thought of it recently when I was reading another thread in this forum about losing one's spouse, but didn't think it was appropriate to post it in that mostly serious thread.

Alan King was one of my favorite old-school comics. WARNING: Keep your coffee cup away from your keyboard as you're watching this or you'll need a new laptop.

That was great!! Never heard that bit. Of course, the joke really is around the assumption that the wives are the same age or older. In reality, many older men do survive their wives and remarry younger women that, of course, survive them. Still an awsome bit.

Very funny. I remember watching him back then, but I can appreciate the jokes much more now. Thanks for sharing.

Q: Why do women live longer than men?

A: They're not married to women.
