I was having major eye surgery the old fashioned way - I had insurance but because it was birth related, never covered.

After meeting with someone, office manager comes out and says that will be $3750 if you pay cash right now.
Not sure if that article is correct. Cash price for my blood pressure meds is $20 a month. With my part D it is $5 for 3 months. I can cite other examples, like my wife’s meds
Apparently some areas yes, some no. I only take one RX, a generic blood pressure med; current Medicare advantage plan's co-pay is $20 for 90 day supply. Cash price at the same pharmacy is $10 for 90 day supply. Helps to ask.
Heard that on local radio yesterday. Cost is so divorced from the end price that it’s disgusting.
