The algorithm is too simple - if you like both "old" and "new" foods, you're 38. If you like German Potato salad, rye bread and butterscotch pudding you're old. If you like smoothies, kale, and guacamole you're young.
I got 20 - LOL! I'm 63 but I did had to guess at some of the things I never heard of in my life. and I think I'm probably one of the few people my age who doesn't care for peanut butter & jelly. But I think these types of quizzes are fun to take.
In countries like Europe or Asia the older the person the more diverse and more variety of foods they ate. Seems the opposite for Americans. Older Americans eat the least variety compared to younger Americans.

I eat things now in my later life that I would never have touched when I was younger--olives, hummus, avocado, certain cheeses, vegetables like eggplant and Brussels sprouts.
I was an adult before I ate cheese, and in my 20s before I forced myself to eat shrimp, which I then discovered I liked despite its embryonic appearance.
I will never look at shrimp the same way again......

Really? Are you sure it is 20, not 22? Literally all the other answers have been 10, 22, 38, and 70.
My wife and I both scored “10”. What can I say, I like what I like.
