I don't think my childhood would baffle young people today--I was on the phone all the time when I was young, just like young people are today.
The only difference is my phone was a big black thing hanging on the wall, and their phones are in their hands. And I was talking, not texting, of course.

Cassette tapes and 8 tracks for music. Having to wait until a song came on the radio to hear it. Having to watch a TV show when it was on. No recording and you might be waiting a long time for a rerun. I remember when the Wizard of Oz was only on one time a year. If you missed the show, too bad.
We could wear shorts under our dresses because we were forced to play dodge ball and kick ball. I hated it, I felt like it was more for boys. After my friend got her front teeth knocked out they stopped making us play the rougher things.
