The run up to Christmas lasts six months. Maybe Easter can have two weeks?
That was my take as well. Easter isn't just about one Sunday. Traditionally, the Easter season starts with Lent on Ash Wednesday and is about 40 days if I remember correctly.
Some places start celebrating with Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) the day before Ash Wednesday. Your mileage will vary depending on which Christian denomination you are so it's all good!

No, that would be the Lenten season.
The Easter season starts on Easter and runs until Pentecost.
At any rate, today cannot be Easter since the last full moon was on March 18--BEFORE the Spring equinox. Easter (Western) is always the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of Spring. The next full moon is April 16, a Saturday--so Easter is the next day.

Western Christian liturgical calendars are based on the cycle of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, including Lutheran, Anglican, and other Protestant calendars since this cycle pre-dates the Reformation. Generally, the liturgical seasons in western Christianity are Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time (Time after Epiphany), Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time (Time after Pentecost). Some Protestant traditions do not include Ordinary Time: every day falls into a denominated season.
