Like the title implies, where do you get your nutrients? Me, I've always been one to alternative between S+S and Whole Foods

I shop at most of those stores. I get some basics from Price Rite, some from Shaws, some from Whole Foods, and even some things from Ocean State Job Lot. If I'm in the area I go to Dave's, East Side Marketplace, Trader Joe's. I don't favor Stop and Shop but I shop there too.

I heard Aldi's is owned by the same people who own Trader Joe's and that some of their items are the same, but I've never shopped at Aldi's.

Dave's, then Whole Foods, then Trader Joe's, then Stop and Shop (even though it's the closest).

Stop & Shop, Price Rite, Dave's, Shaws, Whole Foods, East Side Marketplace, BJ's, Market Basket, Morris Farm, and The Butcherie. Trader Joe's and Job Lot occasionally.

Trader Joe's is owned by the same family trust as Aldi but doesn't have the same management. Kind of like how John Henry owns the Globe but doesn't have Big Papi covering Washington .

Eh, it should still be fine. Job Lot is great for spices and international foods, like imported pasta, Eastern European sour cherry juice, and fancy condiments for making gift baskets.

They have the best prices around on Bob's Red Mill grain products, and I've never seen any of it past the expiry.

Right, though I think your analogy might be a little off since they're in the same basic business. I do have friends who claim some of their products are the same.

I'm the sort of person who has to set a daily notification on my iPhone that says "Remember To Eat Today, for Christ's Sake!"

I shop at Venda once a month. ESM is my fav. Is it Citarella? Is it Zabars? No.

I recall my humiliation when I first went to Citarella and asked for pound of sliced bacon. "Which one? We have fifteen." I stuttered something, and felt the sting of being new to Manhattan. That was some years ago, and I no loner eat bacon.

I don't know that ESM is really that more expensive than S&S. I like the personal attention, the glorious selection of fresh flowers (Uh, zinnias, please). Yeah, ESM FTW. Plus, it's on the #92.

And speaking of ownership, S&S and East Side Marketplace are also owned by the same foreign conglomerate...
