..no. east of East High is pretty nice (not so much west of East High), but not the nicest area. South and East of east high, around Browncroft, as well as the Park Avenue/East Avenue areas are the nicest areas of the city...but probably out of your pricerange.
southwedge is great but I think you will have to go west of South Avenue to find anything in the $70,000 range these days and still be somewhat lucky. Sellers in the nicest parts of the southwedge seem to getting a premium these days because of the area's growing popularity.
one thing to note that is if you have kids in school, you probably want to stay out of the city and stick to the suburbs for educational purposes.
