I just moved here from Texas and just got rust protection from Ziebart but
they charged me $599 for undercoating, engine rejuvenator and rust protection.
Did I paid too much? Also, do I need to have paint protection since I purchase this from Texas? I would like to hear your opinion.
I agree. If you have a really nice car that you want to last, then buy a cheap winter car to drive in the salt. All the undercoating in the world isn't going to save you from the slush that is going to stick to your car.
My 11 year old Saturn has NO rust and it has been through 11 years of heavy salt, slush, whatever. I think that the older cars 15 plus years are the ones that really start to show rust. The cars made in past 10 years really have improved as far as rust.

Saturns use plastic body panels for the most part.
IMO best thing you can do is wash it once a week and keep it in a garage during the night. Other than that, hope for the best.
A few friends of mine had Saturns that looked great but after a trip to the mechanic they found out there frame was rotted through in areas. Quite the opposite for old cars like mine with hulking steel frames that never rot through...
I'm looking for a car wash (either a franchise or a Mom & Pop) that has an undercarriage wash applicator (the sprinkler system with nozzles on the ground that point upwards). I have seen a few self-service car washes, but they are normally empty (i.e., no one around to ask what kind of system they have). Can you recommend one, preferably in the Brighton-Henrietta areas? If that were an exterior-only automated system (as opposed to manual self-service), you know, the type where you drive through a tunnel, that would be better.

All that undercarriage wash is is recycled salty water and suds that came off the top of cars.
