Hello everyone,

I'm moving from Socal, and I would like to put a Jacuzzi in the back yard. Can the jacuzzi be used year round in Rochester? I think it would be awesome to sit in the jacuzzi while it's snowing.

YES they can and YES it is. Sitting in the jacuzzi with light snowfall is AWESOME. As long as you have one with a towel/robe warmer built in. And obviously make sure you cover and insulate it properly when you aren't using it.

AWESOME!!!!

Any Hot tub recommendations? How do you prevent the water from freezing in the pipes causing them to break?

I know people that have them. You just put a cover on top and let it run all winter. the heat keeps the pipes from freezing. The electric bill can be a bit pricey though.

We were looking into one of the inflatable soft tubs, we could put it on the patio in the winter and store it in the summer. Personally I wouldn't want to use a hot tub in the summer, unless the water was cold.

Another angle is you could build a shelter for it. We did that at our house in Greece.

Yes, hot tubs and jacuzzis are great in winter.
