The town I lived in was so small...

I remember going by this small city at the time and seeing this water tower by highway I-75.

You know you live in a small town when you hear the fire siren go off and you automatically start praying for the neighbor that might need help.

You know you are in a small town when a neighbors horse gets loose and you take apples out of your refridgerator to coax him home. A larger town would call animal control.

You know you live in a small town when the mayor decides to cook hot dogs and hamburgers for everybody and does it on a couple of grills in the city hall parking lot.

You know you live in a small town when you mention a traffic light and everybody knows which light you are talking about because your town only has one.

You know you live in a small town when someone has a relative that wants to buy a house and your best information comes from the neighbor down the street. Someone will always know that a friend is about to put their house on the market.

You know you live in a small town when the local music barn is filled every weekend and the owner never has to advertise. They tell the crowd this week who will be the guest group next week.
