Remember the prewar CO-OP/FARMERS UNION CO-OP tractors, and their successors the Custom, Lehr, Love, Friday, OMC and others, the ones that had a Chrysler Ind 6cyl engine, Dodge truck trans/diff??? Someone built a few badged "Chrysler"; they have "Chrysler" in chrome script at the back of the hood and a small round medallion at the top of the nose. Pix of one in Yuma, AZ, are available, another was recently seen in the midwest, with a possible third parted out. I'm tying to identify the builder, and any recollections, comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (I don't think there was any real connection with the Chrysler Cptn; I think someone like Jacob Love or Dave Friday turned out a few as a lark, or as a gimmick for a local Chrysler/Dodge truck dealer). Many thxx for any help/suggestions!! (Have posted to the major tractor sites) Bud pitybud@msn.com Portland, OR
