Bill Maher, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Micheal Moore, Ann Coulter, etc...are all the same person as far as I'm concerned. What they say is merely for shock value. The same could be said for Howard Stern, except he's funny and entertaining. All of the above are not. They claim to be "voice of the people," yet none of them have any clue how "the people" live.

I think they're all funny and entertaining but for different reasons:
Bill Maher - smart, savvy and hilarious; Sara Palin - incredibly dumb considering the position she's in and laughably so; Rush Limbaugh - a bigoted pompous druggie, pathetically/ridulously funny; Michael Moore - smart, savvy and very funny; Ann Coulter - don't know so much about her.
But then I can find some sort of (even deranged) humour in pretty much anything...

Don't get me wrong, I love humor, but I'm sorry, Bill Maher comes off as a smarmy and condescending ---hole.

Understand, and I've heard that comment echoed several times but I just don't perceive him that way at all. I revel in his HBO show, laugh out loud watching it after a long working night and am so disappointed when the season ends. It would be a pretty sorry world if everyone liked the same things. Cheers!
That guy is one of the most ignorant people on television. Almost as bad as that other idiot, Al Franken.
They won't tell the truth, but will lie their voices out.

And that makes them different from the people on the other side of the political fence how?
I do NOT think this crop of loud, angry, shouting, aggressive, in-your-face radio hosts/comedians/"news" shows has done our political or civil discourse the slightest bit of good. The fact that they exist on both sides not doesn't change that in the least, nor do I find them the slightest bit funny - my definition of humor just doesn't go in that direction, I guess.
The tone of this campaign has made me want to say "a pox on both your houses".

I think of of these loud, angry, shout, aggressive, in your face radio hosts have gone too far.. but some of them are good at what they do, and I like them.
I can't stand any of this namby pamby, light hearted kiss ass, please everyone crap from some lighthearted radio hosts.
Bill Maher is not even worth watching in my opinion, he's entitled to his beliefs and views on things but I probably disagree with just about everything he believes in. So I just change the channel if he's on.
That's pretty much the way I view it too! Same thing with that Olberman. I like him doing sports, but he's way out there on his politics.

I stopped listening to talk radio - of any kind, even NPR - when the goal stopped being to inform listeners and started being to tell listeners what to think.
I do not need their opinions, I don't like being shouted at, and I don't like mocking the other side as "entertainment." That's why I listen to internet radio - all music and no DJs or hosts.
