Contact the County extension office in counties where dairy farming is predominant.
There is a huge demand for dairy farm workers who are LEGAL residents.
marmac: as this interests me too, I'm considering giving up my professional trade to do what I love most... ranching, farming and animals. I looked up your suggesion for Hoard's Dairyman magazine. There is no classifieds in it.
Any trade journals more specific to south Texas farm country? I see an ad placed now and then for ranch hands locally but they all are offering $6.55/hr. I dont mind working for lesser monies but sheesh!!! Im used to 10 times that. Suggestions???
I have the latest issue of Hoard's Dairyman in front of me and there are--25-- listings under Help Wanted.
Many dairy farms need workers( unfortunately for desertsun41, they won't be paying $65.50 an hour)

This could be in refrense with "live-in", meaning (expenses for) living on the farm is considered part of the pay.

I could live with that. We live in an RV anyway. Just like Workamping we/I have no problem taking less money for free rent.
The person who has the copy of that magazine in front of them, the online version does not have classifieds. I sure would like to read them. I wonder if I can find this magazine in a good book store.

Another great place to get "word of mouth" info is from DHIA testers.
If a county has no DHIA testers, chances are there are no/few dairy farms in that area.
