Hi, my city-data friends. I have moved so many times and have never been disappointed by the advice I have received, so here it goes! I am currently living in my sister and bro-in-law's huge beautiful house in Fair Oaks, but I will need to move out in the near future. My daughter will be attending ARC starting in the spring and I would really like to find a 2 bdrm apartment withing walking distance (or very shirt driving distance) to the college. I know there are a lot of really old complexes around that do not have washers and dryers in the unit, but I would love to have W/D if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

There are some duplexes just north of ARC that have washer/dryer hookups. I don't know what the rent goes for.

Most of the apartments immediately around ARC have students living in them. There are also quite a few places to rent south of ARC, which puts you in the Carmichael area (south of Winding Way along Walnut).

Thanks for the info, I will definitely check the duplexes and Walnut area out.
