I like Burgers and Brew but I'm looking for a different location. Can you guys recommend me another place besides Squeeze Inn and In N Out that serves really good burgers and fries?

Krush Burger...first had one out of a food truck. They have a sit down place now at 700 N 10th St.

Krush Burger is good.

I like Dad's Kitchen. The wait is often long, but you can grab a beer from the great beer bar while you wait. Get a burger or maybe a sandwich (Hot Blonde and Angry Road Man) and skip the steak and fancier-sounding options. All day happy hour on Tuesday.

Hideaway on Franklin. Great food in slightly dank (but surprisingly clean) dive bar. Hidden gem..

Willie's Burgers on 16th for classic, drippy burgers at good prices.

People love Nationwide Freezer Meats, but I've never actually been.

The best burger, burger I've had in Sac has been Stevie Boy. It's a total hole in the wall with absolutely nothing fancy about it (the burger), the decor is fancy only in that there basically isn't any. The place looks like a dump and it's in the ghetto. Just your basic burger joint but he makes an awesome burger. Nothing fancy like Krush or the Cheese Skirt of Squeeze-Inn. Just depends what you're looking for. Krush gets my vote for most variety. Squeeze is just about the cheese. I like one now and again but I don't really think they're that great.

Shady Lady's burger is pretty fine. Fanny Ann's for casual and unusual burger varieties. Nationwide Freezer Meats used to be the outside favorites, and still produce a good burger, but there are a lot of other great burgers in town these days. Squeeze Inn for the cheese skirts, a novelty but definitely worth a try. 33rd Street Bistro does a pretty solid burger. Flaming Grill is out in Arden-Arcade but has all sorts of burgers with exotic meats, including (so I hear) lion. Hook & Ladder do a daily burger special that changes every day, using seasonal ingredients--last one I had featured goat cheese and a slice of persimmon. Seconding Hideaway.

I had Squeeze Inn once last year after constant raving about it from friends and I walked away very disappointed. It was just pure grease and I wasn't feeling the cheese skirt.

I'm going to have to try some of these other suggestions you guys laid out. I'm always looking for a good burger. Also, I realize it's chain but every time I've gone to Five Guys it's been great.

the Flaming Grill on El Camino. Excellent. I did not have the exotic meat.
I was never interested in the Squeeze Inn.
Been to Dad's, was ok.
33 Street Bistro, bleh
Relish in EDH, excellent
Karens in Folsom, excellent
Samuel Hornes in Folsom, double excellent, my fav

You may want to check out the DDD website, lots of good ideas there.

Had my first Habit Burger the other day and it was pretty damn good.

I always try to get a Krushburger when I want a burger when in Sac.

The whole cheeseskirt thing wore out on me a few years ago.
