Looking for some feedback from those who rent single family homes and experienced a recent rent increase notice from their landlord. How much was the increase (before and after)? What zip code? Did you pay it or move on to another place? Why or why not?

If not you then the experience of someone else you know would be helpful. Thanks.

So far, no rent increase for me. I've been month-to-month since May of 2014. I guess he hasn't raised the rent because we are perfect tenants. Never complain, never call to fix things when we can fix problems ourselves. If he were to raise the rent, we'd most likely stay. I know there's a cap on increasing rent; I think it's about 10% or so (correct me if I'm wrong) with a 30 day notice.

Edit: found a link here.

Sorry if I'm not much help!
