Other power companies which are not pg&e are still running. If you need gasoline, hot food, etc..

PG&E went bankrupt because of lawsuits after a fire. These power outages are PG&E's best effort at preventing that from happening again. If you don't like this get your own back up power. You can buy gas powered generators or a solar array. Illegal pot farmers have been doing this for years.

PG&E neglected maintenance of power lines for decades, now it bit them in the butt with all the fires in the past few years so their only recourse is to shut the power off. I think we should shut PG&E off for good and have SMUD take over. SMUD is a public utility (no stockholders to keep happy) and the rates are 30% less than PG&E and outages are very rare.

Power has been back in Humboldt but everyone I know is getting appts for solar.

Solar only works in a blackout if you have back up batteries for it.

Did anyone hear about explosions and fires AFTER the power cut? This video has information from various sources. Very weird stuff happening now. Military ops?
