Is this true???

West has a lot of power lines and too close to Water treatment plant +
Electric station.

If so, where should I stay away from when purchasing a home here??? We are in the process as of now and would like to find "the" house asap. thanks!

The city of Roseville would go ballistic if they heard you say this about their "perfect" town! Don't you know - there's nothing EVER wrong with Roseville! The West area of Roseville is where all the growth is. People just look past the power lines and it is NEVER mentioned. To be fair to Roseville, the influx from the Bay Area created an unnatural situation. Roseville became so desirable that even previously unwanted land became hot properties. Yes, it used to be that people were choosy and would not live right next to or underneath power lines, but now no one seems to care. And the water treatment plant only stinks sometimes, depending on which way the wind is blowing. Seriously! I mean, they are currently building homes right next to it, so I guess they figure it can't be that bad, right?

I actually didnt know this about Roseville 'til I read another post. I did notice power lines, but there are plenty of homes I looked at that are not built under them at all. WHERE IS THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT?

Here's some info on the plants in Roseville. They have links that show a map of where the plants are. The site says Pleasant Grove is "latest addition to the City of Roseville's wastewater infrastructure" and is located west of Sun City Roseville, and the Dry Creek facility is on Booth Rd in the southwestern part of town.

Who's to say it is not "that bad"? don't underestimate the power of greeds. Builders just build for profit, the city just keep on signing permits to get money (taxes, etc). I probably can handle the smell, but who can guarantee that there won't be any health issue in the future? as soon as I found about the plan proximity, I crossed this west roseville from my list. Bottom line: if you think those things won't hurt your health, of course, go ahead and buy but would you bet your health on it?

In addition to your health or inconvenience, you have to think about the resale of your house. You might find the conditions acceptable, but maybe not anyone else looking to buy your house in the future.
