I knew there was a Latino community in SLC but didn't realize it was around 20% as someone above mentioned. Anyways, I'm Hispanic and have been kicking around the idea of moving to SLC for some time now. I would rather lock in a job before moving. A few of my friends that know about my plan about possibly relocating to Utah have told me that if a member of LDS receives my resume and correlates my Hispanic name with the Catholic Church I can kiss goodbye any chance of getting an interview. Is this true?? You hear all of these things about the LDS: they don't like anyone that's not LDS, they don't like people from out-of-state, they don't like other religions, they don't like other races, they stick to themselves, blah, blah, blah. I don't know what to believe.

-Cheers.

Yes there is a large hispanic population here, well at least per capita.

You'll be fine. People are pretty tolerate here overall anyways.
