My spouse was there and pickedup some pumpkin cheesecake... it was meh.

We, too, are former Californians who loved TJ's... and Whole Foods... but we are TIRED of having to drive downtown.

Forget the district - they could locate in any of the empty shopping centers in Sandy - 11400 S. State and 11400 South and 7th East to name two.... and we'd be happy.

Traffic is getting much worse here..... I"m less likely to travel to downtown - even on TRAX - if I have to fight the crowds.

Yea, I agree. When I first moved here from Anaheim it was like moving to a small town. It seems it is now so much more close to how Orange County is in regarding traffic/population. I guess most towns/cities are experiencing the same thing. It is kind of sad to see, but then I have contributed to the population increase just like anybody else has. :-)

I think the corporate food entities are learning about the gold mine out in South Jordan. More and more is moving in between 13400 to the District area off Bangerter. Now we have In N Out, 5 Guys Burgers and fries, a new Texas Roadhouse opening in January at 126th and Bangerter (Yea), Olive Garden and plenty of specialty shops, one of which is a Popcorn place (Roosters Gourmet) with about 40 flavors and more. So little by little I'm finding it less necessary to go far for any food, computer stuff, clothing and more. That's pretty cool. About the furthest I go now is for a nice childfree dinner at Christopher's Steak House in Draper which isn't all that far for us either. It's getting better

I love the fact that we have a trader joe's here. Feels more like home here in SLC to this former west coaster
The place has been a mosh pit since it opened up! I think they really underestimated the level of business they'd be doing in the mountain states.

Yea, been there twice and could not find a parking place, except across the street at Smiths. Went to my first Trader Joe's in San Diego about 20 years ago. After that really looked forward to going to a couple in the Irvine/Orange County area. I figured it would be a huge hit here since this place has a ton of Calif. transplants.
